Read-Aloud Companions from Project Momentum are designed to accompany children’s books that explore themes of language, identity, and/or multilingualism. Through engaging, scaffolded lessons, students reflect on their own languages, cultures, and experiences while building language, literacy, and social-emotional learning skills. These activities help position multilingualism as an asset and affirm the diverse identities present in every classroom. Each resource includes vocabulary development, discussion prompts, writing tasks, family connections, and community-building projects like bulletin board displays.
